Never forget: A guiding coalition made up only of managers - even superb managers who are wonderful people - will cause major change efforts to fail.
The Reality: Many salespeople persist in "winging it" in their sales behavior and communication - regardless of prior training.
The Problem: Many salespeople struggle to produce acceptable quality and quantity in sales results.
The Solution: We need to learn how to "cook" - how to generate enough sales, with enough quality by using the fundamental elements of persuasion and influence.
My training is called Mosaic because you learn to understand and use many different and sometimes seemingly unrelated, small components of persuasive communication. Many of these have been discovered by pioneering sales professionals, trainers, scientists and psychologists. You can think of them rather like ingredients in cooking. Just as in cooking, there are many ingredients to a successfull sales cycle (and many differing varieties of a successful sales cycle) and they are usually all very important.
Many of us have received "professional sales training" of one variety or another and we can think of those as the sales training version of canned food, or fast-food. If you like canned food or McDonald's and it is working well for you, then by all means stick with it, but if you want or need something fresh and custom you'll find it here.
Sales professionals are taught to recognize communication components, strategies and patterns they currently use that generate resistance in people. Most salespeople have learned to "tell" rather than sell. A common result of "pushing" information and traditional sales techniques is that salespeople get "artificial" compliance from prospects that confounds their sales efforts.
Many salespeople use gimmicks, tricks, high-pressure sales pitches and other phoney measures to counter the "tactics" of their prospects. I teach and train that honesty and the use of effective persuasive fundamentals are the only way to develop a high quality, mutually beneficial relationship in the first place.
Successful selling can be somewhat likened to making a cake...you must follow the recipe for a cake you will like, you must use the necessary ingredients, you must blend them appropriately, and you must subject them to the proper environment for the required amount of time. You must be honest in following the recipe. And you must remember, the most important part of a cake is the flour you use, no wait, it is the baking soda, no that's not it...get it? It is ALL the most important part.
Mosaic Sales Training is offered to businesses in the Quad Cities Area seeking to improve their sales performance while operating at the highest ethical standards.
